Bitcoin ETFs' third week hides a thin gain
BTC ETFs drew $241M in a third straight inflow week, but the pace is collapsing fast and Ether, Zcash funds just flipped red.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs booked a third straight week of net inflows, pulling in $241.1 million. Ether ETFs went the other way, shedding $138 million, and Zcash funds posted their first weekly outflow on record.
The weekly numbers
The headline streak is real. So is the slowdown inside it.
- Bitcoin ETFs took in $241.1 million last week, per SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph.
- The prior two weeks brought in $2.4 billion and $6.2 million respectively, cumulative inflows near $57.8 billion.
- Year-to-date Bitcoin ETF net inflows sit around $1.2 billion, despite that $57.8 billion lifetime total.
- Ether ETFs flipped from $690 million of inflows the prior week to $138 million of outflows.
- Zcash funds shed roughly $94 million, their first outflow week on record.
What a thinning streak means
The obvious read is that Bitcoin ETFs are on a roll while Ether and Zcash funds stumble. The weekly figures argue something narrower.
A streak built on $2.4 billion, then $6.2 million, then $241.1 million isn't accelerating. It's running out of the capital that drove the first week.
Year-to-date net inflows of $1.2 billion against a $57.8 billion lifetime total means 2026 has added almost nothing net to the pile built in prior years. Three green weeks look like momentum only if you ignore how small two of them were.
Ether's reversal tells a sharper story. $690 million in, $138 million out, in consecutive weeks, is a fast flip that points to tactical allocation rather than conviction.
Zcash's first-ever outflow week matters less for its $94 million size and more for the precedent. A fund with zero outflow history losing money in a single week says its prior inflows were untested by any real selling pressure until now.
Prices moved up regardless. Bitcoin traded near $86,200, up 3.7% over seven days, and Ether near $2,727, up 3%, according to CoinGecko figures in the same report. Flows and price diverged, which is its own signal.
What to watch
The next few weekly prints will show whether the Bitcoin streak has real size behind it or was front-loaded by that single $2.4 billion week.
- Whether Bitcoin ETF weekly inflows climb back above $500 million or keep shrinking toward the $6.2 million low already logged.
- Whether Ether ETFs post a second straight outflow week, confirming the reversal rather than a one-week wobble.
- Whether Zcash funds see a second outflow week, which would turn a first-ever event into a trend.
